 k\, we are planning to hold a CocoaCoder Meetup for the rest of us this 
 Thursday at the usual time and the usual place (Conjunctured at 7:00 pm\
 , Thursday June 11).\n\nThe topic of discussion is Retain/Release Consid
 ered Harmful\, an interesting paper by Andrew W. Donoho about a proposal
  for a different way to approach memory management. Andrew will explain 
 his MPnA (Manage the Pool\, not the Allocation) idiom. I think this appr
 oach to memory management can make things quite a bit simpler\, and real
 ly plays up the advantages of Objective C 2.0 features like synthesized 
 properties. It is also somewhat controversial given the reliance on auto
 release.\n\nAlso\, I'm sure people will want to discuss iPhone 3.0 and S
 now Leopard. Some of us\, will probably be running Snow Leopard by Thurs
 day\, since Apple has released a Developer's Preview version. Pricing fo

 l things MonoTouch. Geoff Norton is a developer for Novell working on th
 e Mono Project.  He is the Engineering Lead for the MonoTouch project\, 
 which allows iPhone developers to write applications in .NET.  He's a fo
 under of the Cocoa# and Objective-C# projects and is in charge of the Ma
 c specific development for the Mono project.  Geoff has also contributed
  to the Moonlight project\, the Mono runtime\, and class library work.  
 Prior to working for Novell Geoff had been a Mono project contributor fo
