grades of stone\, high purity chemical grade limestone\, limestone for u
tility scrubber applications\, and construction aggregates. The chemica
l and physical requirements for these three grades of limestone are inco
mpatible and must be mine separately. Franklin has developed a unique m
ine plan and operation to maintain both product balance and a safe and s
table working environment while working on multiple levels.

44th Annual Meeting of the American Institute of Professional Geologists
hosted by the Michigan Section of AIPG in Traverse City\, Michigan\, Oc
 tober 7 - 11\, 2007. The theme of this year's meeting is \"Geology: The
Foundation for the Environment and Resources.\"\n \nThe 2007 meeting no
t only incorporates our goal of highlighting the role of geology in defi
ning\, protecting\, and sustaining our environment and its resources\, b
ut also offers a forum to provide opportunities for reporting on regiona
l geologic studies pertaining to a variety of topics. Such topics inclu
de energy and mineral resources\, stratigraphy\, sedimentology\, paleont
ology\, structural geology\, basin analysis\, and geophysics in any of t
he diverse geologic regions of North America. The Michigan Basin is fam
ous for the Great Lakes\, a rich mining history\, unique minerals\, petr
oleum resources\, Paleozoic fossils\, Quaternary glacial deposits\, sens
itive dune and aquatic environments\, and some of the oldest macroscopic
fossils in the world. All of these areas provide many opportunities fo
r thoroughly interesting study.\n \nIn addition to technical presentatio
ns\, there will be a forum for AIPG's core issues concerning ethics\, pu
blic policy\, licensure\, and legislation. The Technical Program Commit
tee encourages you to participate in this informative meeting by contrib
