 nWhere: Memorial Coliseum--South Door\n\n*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*\n\nOK Folks
! Grand Floral Parade on Saturday--the theme is: \"Bridging Centuries\"
and we are right behind the Klickitat Co. Fair and Rodeo (no joke!) and
right before the Blue Cross Blue Shield group. (see attached if you're
interested)\n\nWe need a FINAL head count so please respond to this cale
ndar request.\n\nHere are the details:\n\n\n* We are showing up at 8:30a
m to decorate the bikes on the South bound late of Interstate (the west
side of the MAX tracks). I'm attaching a float formation map that shows
the area\, which isn't that big. You'll see the blank spot behind Float
#8. We then need to carefully move the bikes after they're decorated to
the spot referred to below. We will have all the supplies to decorate wi
th us--so come ready to quickly put the décor on your bike!\n\n* At 9:00
am we get in line behind the Grand Floral Walk participants\, in the Nor
th Bound lane of Intertate\, south of Drexler Drive (the road that leads
to the Coliseum south door). We'll line up behind the walkers. I'm atta
ching a map of the parade formation area.\n\nFYI--We are working with Ro
se Pedals Pedicabs--so if you need someone to get a ride rather than wal
 k/ride a bike\, there are some spots available.\n\n\nThings to bring:\n\
n* Sunscreen\n* Water Bottle\n* Snack?\n* We might be standing around fo
 r a little bit\, so something to keep kids\, yourself busy.\n\n\n\n\n\n\
nHello All--\n\nYeah! Rose Parade! As you know\, Mayor Adams considers t
hese parades imperative for public outreach--and yes\, yes\, my dear co-
workers\, you are expected to participate!\n\nHere are a few quick detai
ls\, I'll circle back with more closer to the date:\n\n* We are forming
a \"biking\" unit of about 50 people to accompany the Mayor--we need you
r help in gathering folks on bikes to join us. Catherine? Shoshanah?\n\n
 * Theme for our part in the parade? Do we want to wear the same color/sh
irt or something that ties us together as a group? Thoughts?\n\n* What m
aterials is your bureau/work area providing to brand our participation?
 \"Better Together\"\, \"Youth Corp\"\, \"Street Car\"\, Bike maps\, What
else can we hand out?\n\n* Bring additional folks to ride/walk with you
 --bring your family\, partners\, friends\, etc--we need a good showing f
 or this event.\n\nLooking forward to it\,\n\nPolly\n\nPB 5/1/09\n\n\n
